Absa Premiership match report Bloemfontein Celtic v Orlando Pirates 26 November 2017

Ndumiso Mabena had a glorious opportunity to break the deadlock five minutes into the second half after being sent through on goal one-on-one with the goalkeeper inside the box but Gladwin Shitolo recovered brilliantly and made a great tackle in the nick of time from behind.

Thabo Qalinge was withdrawn three minutes before the hour mark and Thabo Rakhale took his place for a fresh pair of legs.

Musa Nyatama got the breakthrough goal in the 61st minute through a toe-poke inside the area following a scramble in the box, 0-1.

Milutin Sredojevic buffed up his midfield after 71 minutes bringing on Issa Sarr in place of the more adventurous Makoka.

Phalane had a good crack at the goals in the 77th minute from long range free-kick that dipped into the bottom corner on target however Mabokgwane was alert to swallow the strike.

Veselin Jelusic's charges were probing after 85 minutes but the Bucs were defending deep into their own half, not giving them a sniff at the goals.

The visitors played on counter attacks in the final minutes and closed the match with tactical substitutions towards the end.
