Nteo has been moved up from coaching the reserve team to Celtic's senior team following the departure of Lehlohonolo Seema to Chippa United.
'Wire' is set to serve as assistant coach to another Phunya Sele Sele legend John Maduka, who will now serve as the sole head coach having been a co-coach alongside Seema.
Nteo reported to training at Celtic for the first time on Tuesday.
"The reception was fine. They know me and everyone in the team gave me a warm reception," Nteo tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"Remember there are eight or nine players I coached in the development so there are a lot of familiar faces in the team.

"I am coping. It's not an easy job. I didn't expect it to happen so soon but it's football so things like this happen. It's unfortunate the coach left.
"But fortunately I came in. I was not expecting it but it has always been my goal to coach in the PSL."
Siwelele also welcomed back striker Tokelo Rantie after his assessment with the squad was halted by the football suspension.
