Mofokeng effect: The boy is just too much

Orlando Pirates winger Relebohile Mofokeng's impact at the club has come with acknowledgement as he keeps delivering goals and assists in what is only his second full season in the first team.

It would be gross injustice not to take notice of the fact that in 26 appearances this season, Mofokeng has nine goals and 11 assists.

This is the kind of form that Pirates will need in all the three competitions that they are involved in – the Betway Premiership, Nedbank Cup and CAF Champions League.

With the side facing the possibility of playing another 27 games in this campaign, the 20-year-old has left his senior teammate Deon Hotto salivating.

"It is amazing what the boy is actually doing from last season up to now," says Hotto.

"I don't know... The boy is just too much.

"The good thing about him is that he listens to his senior players.

"That is one good thing.

"He is definitely going far.

"When you always listen to what your elders are saying, you will definitely go far.

"He is grounded and disciplined.

"For him, I won't say the sky is the limit, but he is just a marvellous player.
