Orlando Pirates have finally confirmed the long-speculated departure of Floyd Mbele.
Mbele has served at Pirates as administration officer.
"Orlando Pirates has accepted the resignation of the club's administration manager Mr Floyd Mbele.
"The club management wishes him the best in his future endeavours," read a statement from the club.
Mbele (53) has served at Pirates as far back as 2006 when he was the CEO before he then left to join Platinum Stars in 2011 but didn't stay long.
In his role at Pirates, Mbele has had several allegations levelled against him with Thulasizwe Mbuyane and Gerald Modabi amongst those that have pointed fingers at him for being at the forefront of technical interference at the club along with Screamer Tshabalala.
According to circulating speculation, Mbele is now set to be involved with a DStv Premiership rival based in Gauteng.
