Attacker Oswin Appollis has opened on his move to Orlando Pirates and his Man of the Match debut for the Buccaneers, who saw off Polokwane City in the quarter-finals of the MTN8.
The Soweto giants made easy work of Rise And Shine with a 2-0 slapping in front of a sold-out Orlando Stadium.
The culprit on the day was Appollis, who opened the scoring after just 20 minutes and won the penalty that would be converted by Patrick Maswangwanyi to give Pirates their second of the match.

Speaking to the club's media, Appollis said he was pleased to see the team's pre-season efforts bear fruit.
"Very positive results, happy for the day, but most importantly, we have to give credit to the whole team, Everyone worked hard," the winger said via the club's media department.
"All the stuff we did in Spain, pre-season, everything just came together today.
"It's amazing to see the packed stadium, and I'm very happy to be at Orlando Pirates, and we will continue doing our work at training. We will do our best.
The 23-year-old was the Buccaneers' marquee signing of the window and a long-time target. Pirates fended off interest from rivals Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns to win the speedy winger's signature.

In a separate interview with Pirates, Appollis reveals his choice has always been Pirates.
"It’s amazing. I’m happy to be part of this big club, and the teammates have been great to me," Appollis revealed.
"Growing up watching Pirates was amazing, and most of my good friends support the club. The day they inquired about me, I didn’t hesitate to sign."
Appollis and Co. now turn their attention to the Betway Premiership where they meet Sekhukhune United on Saturday.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 17:30
