Orlando Pirates has been slapped with R200 000 fine after Premier Soccer league's (PSL) Disciplinary Committee (DC) found the club guilty of 'spectator misbehavior'.
The Buccaneers supporters invaded the pitch after the Soweto giants defeated Sundowns with an emphatic 3-0 score-line in the second leg of the MTN8 semi-final played in October, at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

The club pleaded guilty to all charges, according to PSL prosecutor Advocate Zola Majavu.
"I can confirm that Orlando Pirates Football Club, earlier this morning, appeared before the PSL DC to answer to spectator misbehavior, in that spectators, fans or supporters invaded the pitch after the final whistle an MTN8 fixture," confirmed Majavu.
"They pleaded guilty as charged."
Pirates was subsequently fined R200 000, half of which is suspended for 24 months, on the condition that they aren't found guilty of the same offense within a period of 24 months from the ruling.
The club has also been required to pay 50% of the DC costs for the hearing and the remaining R100 000. The Buccaneers have been given a week appeal the ruling.
Pirates becomes the second team in the MTN8 to be charged this season, after neighbours Kaizer Chiefs were also charged following a pitch invasion during the side's MTN8 quarter-final win over Stellenbosch at Danie Craven Stadium in the Winelands.
Like Pirates, Chiefs pleaded guilty and were fined R200 000.
