In our most recent feature of My Locker Room Secrets, KickOff speaks to former Orlando Pirates star Edward 'Magents' Motale on his experiences in various locker rooms during his football career.
Whose locker room are we in today?
"Former Orlando Pirates defender Edward 'Magents' Motale."

Who was always late?
"Tebogo Moloi. I don't know why, but he was always late."

Any interesting rituals before they played?
"Williams Okpara would always pray. Any chance he got, he would kneel and pray by himself. Come kick-off time, he was always the last one to leave the changing room. After that, he would still go to the goalposts to kneel down and pray again for a second time."

Who was the Joker?
"Bernard 'Shoes' Lushozi. He was never serious. Especially in the changing room."

Was it a muti change room?
"During our time, everybody used his own stuff. Some would pray, others would sing, and there are those who would sit alone and keep quiet. It was the mix. Do you think a person who practices witchcraft can do it in front of everyone? Hence, I'm not sure if we had people who used muti in our changing room.
Who was the singer?
"Innocent Mncwango. He would sing anything, and we would just follow him. I can't remember what his favourite song was, but because he was singing Zulu songs, I was not interested."
Who was the best and worst dressed?
"It's Tebogo Moloi and Marks Maponyane, we had quite a few well-dressers. They were trendsetters when it came to fashion.
"Some of us would wear normal stuff like All-Stars, and jeans. We were simple. We were there to work not for a fashion show. This is football. We were not there to wear whatever."

Who never showered?
"Steve Lekoelea. He never showered after the game. He would just change into his clothes and leave. No one knew where he was rushing to."

Rate the coach's team talk...
"I give Mike Makaab 10 out of 10 because Viktor Bondarenko couldn't speak English so his team talks were short. Let's give him 5 out of 10. I don't about my former teammates, but me I could hear both of them."
