Ea Lla Koto beat Amakhosi 2-0 to progress into the final of the Nedbank Cup and Ngobeni played a crucial role in keeping Chiefs at bay, ultimately earning the Man of the Match award.
Ngobeni, who is on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns, also praised his teammates for sticking to the game plan.
“I’d like to thank my teammates they also put on a great effort. Personally, we did well as a team. We stuck to the plan and things worked out,” Ngobeni told SuperSport TV.
“Most importantly we scored early goals and tried to control the game but it was difficult. We knew it was not going to be easy playing a team of Chiefs’ calibre. We’re happy to be in the final after so many years. We’re happy we’re part of the team that made it into the final.
“The goalkeeper coach is working with us I think he’s also doing a great job I have to give him credit.
“I came in the January window it’s not going to be easy. The team was doing well in the first round I knew I was going to play in the cup games so it was important to stay focused.”
