Richards Bay FC coach Simo Dladla not concerned about Kaizer Chiefs' record

In recent seasons, Amakhosi have struggled against lower league teams, with the most notable encounter ending in a 1-0 loss to TS Galaxy in the 2019 final.

However, Dladla is not getting carried away by the record as he feels the Glamour boys can really hurt them hard.

"Their record against smaller teams doesn't really motivate us, because Kaizer Chiefs is still a big team, they've proven so many times. As much as we know history may repeat itself, they've got enough quality to turn things around," Dladla said ahead of the match.

"We are looking at ourselves, focusing on our strengths and using the opportunity of playing against big teams. We don't have anything to lose in this game. For us it's a motivation to use in our league."

While a clash with Chiefs will always attract a lot of attention, Dladla says it is very hard to avoid being overwhelmed by the occasion.

"That is a tricky one, I've been trying to make sure they are well prepared mentally," he added. "We've motivated them and are letting them know that they will be playing against people like them. The only difference is the standard we are in and it's very tough."
