Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Hendrick Ekstein vows improve Man of the Match display

Amakhosi are one match away from reaching the final of the competition after defeating Baroka 1-0 at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday night.

Ekstein, who was awarded the Man of the Match accolade, has boldly promised the fans that they will go all the way and win the trophy.

“I’d like to thank God, my family and teammates. I made a promise on Thursday that I’m going to play well. I promised the fans that we will do well and go to the next round,” Ekstein told SuperSport TV.

“I will get better I think I have two or three goals and I don’t have an assist. But I’m happy with the first team players, the coach and the legends [at the club] who are helping me throughout.

“I think we owe it to our fans and we need to do well for the team. It’s been two seasons without winning anything so this one is our chance. We’re going to win this Cup.”
