Sekgota will be heading back to parent club Vitoria Setubal when the 2019/20 season is finished, before Wits changes ownership.
The 23-year-old has made two cup appearances en route to Wits reaching the semi-finals, where they face Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday, 8 August at Orlando Stadium.
"We will be playing against Mamelodi Sundowns, a very good side, but it would be good to win the cup as a special send-off," Sekgota tells snl24.com/kickoff.
Having made five Absa Premiership appearances under Gavin Hunt, the PSL debutant has shared his experience of local football.
"I grew up watching the PSL and it's an honour to be playing in this league," he says.
"Coach Gavin Hunt made it easy for me to adapt with his experience. The minutes he agreed to give me, it meant a lot and he has been good to me since then."
Besides the Nedbank Cup still to play for, Wits are still firmly in the running for a top-three finish and mathematically could still even win the Absa Premierhip title, albeit unlikely.
