The rivalry between Mamelodi Sundowns' Andile Jali and Bidvest Wits' Thabang Monare is set to continue when the two clubs cross swords in the Nedbank Cup semi-final billed for Orlando Stadium on Saturday.
The last battle between Jali and Monare ended up with 'AJ' emerging victorious after stealing the ball from his opponent in the middle of the park and surging forward to make a square pass for his teammate to score for The Brazilians.

Jali and Monare played together at University of Pretoria, where they forged a close friendship before going their separate ways to join Orlando Pirates and Jomo Cosmos respectively.
AmaTuks under-17 ladies team coach Kgomotso 'Vieira' Mbete, who played with both Monare and Jali at the Tshwane-based side, believes the battle of he two midfielders will live up to expectations on Saturday.
However, he warns the pair, particularly Monare, to control emotions.

"It's going to be a nice game. Both of them have been training hard even during the lockdown and they didn't rest," Mbete tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"Thabang lost the first battle and would want to come back to prove a point and say, 'Hey my friend, you can't beat me twice.'
"But the experience of Andile will play a big part. He is clever. If both can control their emotions it's going to be an exciting game.

"Monare always plays with emotions and he will need to calm down a bit. It's going to be a 50/50 battle. I am not sure about the score. Wits have been sold, I don't know what their plans are now."
