Grobler, who scored three goals in the two-legged semi-finals against Kaizer Chiefs, missed the 4-0 league rout of Black Leopards at Lucas Moripe Stadium last Sunday after picking up a knock in a clash with Orlando Pirates.
Fellow forward James Keene hit a brace in his absence, while Aubrey Modiba and Evans Rusike were also on target, with the latter moving ahead of Grobler as the club's top scorer this season with four goals.
Tembo also took off Dean Furman against Leopards as the influential midfielder is one booking away from a one-game ban.
"Brad got a knock against Pirates. If you remember I took him off around the 80th minute because he had a knock. I had to rest him a little bit so that he can be available for the final," Tembo explained.
He added: "We were leading 3-0 and I needed to manage the players. Dean is on three yellow cards. I didn't wanna risk him and later he gets booked. I wanted to save him for the final.
"He is the captain, he is a leader and an important player in the team, and we need to have him in the final."
SuperSport beat City in last year's MTN8 final at the same venue in Durban.
This year's final will kick off at 19h00 on the weekend.
