Bloemfontein Celtic coach John Maduka believes youngster Sifiso Ngobeni has a bright future in football after his performance that helped topple Mamelodi Sundowns.
Ngobeni was a menace to Sundowns' defence as Celtic beat The Brazilians 1-0 in the MTN8 quarter-finals at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday.
The 23-year-old left-back was unlucky not to win man of the match after being a thorn in the flesh of the opposition down the left flank, with Siwelele goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane given the accolade after the game.
Maduka is confident that Ngobeni will play for Bafana Bafana soon if he keeps his feet on the ground.
"A very good player. He is still a young player that is hungry to play," Maduka tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"You can see how he plays. He gives everything and he is working very hard. He is a young player that just came into the game and it's good to see him doing well.
"He is going to be Bafana Bafana left-back soon. That's if he continues to play well and injuries and form don't disturb him."
Celtic have since been pitted against SuperSport United in the MTN8 semi-finals.
