Moses Mabhida Stadium to host MTN8 final between SuperSport United and Cape Town City

The Premier Soccer League confirmed the venue on SuperSport TV on Monday evening, with the final heading to Durban on 29 September 2018.

Last season's final also took place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

The match will be a repeat of last season's MTN8 final, where SuperSport defeated the Citizens 4-2 on penalties.

Premier Soccer League acting Chief Executive, Mato Madlala expanded on the decision to take the final back to Durban.

“This is not just another final – but a match where both teams will be looking at either settling old scores (from last year’s final) or reaffirm that last year was not luck. The League, SuperSport United, Cape Town City and MTN took the decision that the Moses Mabhida Stadium will provide a perfect backdrop to this encounter. We thank our partners MTN for always believing in our product. We believe that people will travel from Gauteng and Western Cape for this final on 29 September," Madlala said in a statement from the PSL.

The match will kick-off at 19h00.
