Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Rulani Mokwena says the target at the club is primed towards sustained success with the current crop faced with the challenge of doing better than what the previous groups at the club ever did.
Sundowns have now made a clean sweep of all domestic trophies with the last two years having won the league, Nedbank Cup, Telkom KnockOut and MTN8.
Such has been The Brazilians' dominance that they have won 12 trophies since May 2015 which has elevated them to be the most successful club across all competitions in the PSL era years with 22 titles.

"I think a lot of credit needs to be given to the senior management of the club for the vision," says Mokwena.
"A couple of seasons ago the club was very clear that they have to drop the average age in the squad, which gives possibilities for longevity for sustained success. But having said that you cannot forget the contributions of the previous groups because we sit in a situation where we have got to win every single match because of what we call football heritage.
"Football heritage starts even with the previous group and the previous group before that. This group had the possibility to win the MTN8 because of the previous group last year that qualified for the MTN8 by winning the title and in that previous group, you had the contributions of Hlompho (Kekana), Sugar (Tiyani Mabunda), Langer (Tebogo Langerman) and many others who are unfortunately not part of this group. When we speak about this group and the success of the MTN8 we shouldn't forget about the work that has been done in creating a winning culture but also this heritage of inducing the pressure on winning trophies.
"They have that responsibility to try and continue. We speak all the time about James Kerr's book (Legacy, what the All Blacks can teach us about the business of life) and the most important part of that book is you clean the shirt and you leave it cleaner or better than you found it. They now have a responsibility to leave the Sundowns jersey as a new group better than they found it and good that they are off to a very good start.
"When you look at the average age of this squad and look at how much potential all of them still have, with a lot more consistency, good mentality and humility they are bound to still improve. We are trying to improve this team and we are trying to improve these players and the good thing is that we work with good human beings and that is the blessing that we have," says Mokwena.
