As such, Solinas has led his side through a flurry of fixtures that has seen them often take to the pitch every three days for league and cup action.
After being eliminated from the top-eight competition by SuperSport United, they will have to watch on as the reigning champions look to defend their crown against Cape Town City this weekend.
However, this pleases the Italian as he looks forward to the opportunity of ironing out the finer details in his team’s performances, after missing out on the bulk of their pre-season.
“When I have time to prepare for the games, I’m happy. Because, when you have time, you can prepare with the details,” said Solinas.
“When you don’t have time and you play every two to three days, you have to focus only on the priorities.
“Now we have time to work on the details, and to prepare for the next game so I am happy.”
