Jabu Mahlangu has offered his advice to SuperSport United coach Kaitano Tembo as the club keeps improving this season.
Mahlangu has applauded Matsatsantsa for the way they have recovered from their opening-day league defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns and for the character they have shown to reach the MTN8 semifinals.
"They've started well despite losing to Sundowns. It's fine, you can lose to Masandawana. What I like about them is they've managed to bounce back from that loss. I'm sure they've learned a lot from that and you could see after that game the whole team improved," he said.
Mahlangu, who featured for United at the tail end of his career, gave coach Kaitano Tembo some advice to push for consistency as they look like a team that can surprise many this season.
They have already beaten the likes of Bidvest Wits and Orlando Pirates convincingly in the Absa Premiership and MTN8.
"It's good to see them looking good, let's just hope the coach will help the team maintain consistency because remember, to win the league you must be consistent, it's not like a cup game where you play four games and it's done. Here you have to play 30 games and be consistent to be champions. SuperSport so far are looking good."
Matsatasta played to a 1-1 draw with Sundowns in the first leg of their MTN8 semifinal at home. They will target their third final in a row when they face Downs away from home in the second round on September 18.
