Bradley Grobler could get his wish to play for Orlando Pirates after MTN8 final

"It's in the players' hands. Bradley knows... help us win another trophy and get us to January in a nice solid position, then that's great for him."

Speaking to this website during the transfer window, SuperSport United CEO Stan Matthews made it clear that Bradley Grobler's future is in his owns hands. The CEO's comments were made made on the back of the striker's link with Orlando Pirates.

In addition, Matthews said: "It's all down to the players. If we have a big start to the season and Bradley shows what he can do and gets his place back into the Bafana Bafana team, then the January window is there."

Grobler has since been called up to the Bafana squad and this weekend could fulfill the CEO's challenge by helping the team win a trophy. And this could open the door for a potential move to Orlando, ironically where this year's MTN8 final is being played.

SuperSport are set to welcome back Grobler when they face Highlands Park in the MTN8 final at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday after he missed out their latest league outing against AmaZulu on Saturday due to suspension.

Matthews indicated that a move could happen in January, and with Grobler stating that he is hungry for action, he will be playing for silverware and a potential contract elsewhere in January.

"It was important to win [against AmaZulu] after our loss last weekend. The guys did well against AmaZulu," Grobler tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"I am very hungry, I can't wait to get back to the field. I missed the game against AmaZulu and I cant wait to get back onto the field and help the team. Hopefully I will score goals."

Off the field of play, the MTN8 final is set to be spiced by top musicians including the likes of Trompies, Alaska and Uhuru.
