Julius Dube appointed new Bizana Pondo Chiefs head coach

Former Santos goalkeeper Motsoeneng became the latest coach without a job after parting ways with the club this morning.

Motsoeneng was fired after a string of poor results during which he collected just three wins for the promoted GladAfrica Championship side.

Chiefs boss Nathi Mqokiyane has now confirmed to snl24.com/kickoff that Dube will lead the club until the end of the season.

"He wasn't fired, it was a mutual decision," Mqokiyane explains regarding Motsoeneng's departure.

"You could see in his eyes in our meeting that he also felt the club needed someone with fresh ideas to take the club forward.

"I hold Tshepo in high regard. I still have big dreams in football that I want to work with him again. I feel indebted for what has done for this club and the people of Bizana, a rural area in the Eastern Cape. The people of Bizana still celebrate him."

Chiefs, who are bottom of the NFD log, are set to host log leaders Richards Bay in their next league match in Durban next weekend.
