Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Jody February has opened up about his situation at the club.

February spent the 2021/22 season on loan at Swallows FC and while he is expected to return to the Brazilians, the player revealed that he is yet to discuss his future at the Chloorkop-based club.

February has been linked with a move to SuperSport United and a return to Swallows.

"I have never talked to them (Sundowns) regarding my future or anything," February told snl24.com/kickoff on Friday.

"But I will see man, hopefully, something comes up this week, you hear these things every day (Sundowns being interested in Ronwen Williams).

"He will just add more quality, at the end of the day we are growing every day and it will be nice to learn new things from him.

"He is a Bafana Bafana international and Bafana Bafana number one now, he will just add value you know.

"Every player likes to play compared to sitting on the bench, but at the moment I don't know the plans of the club you know, but soon I will know.

"I always wanted to play for the best team, just because I played last season at Swallows it doesn't mean now I'm just going to come back to Sundowns and demand game time... That's not who I am.

"I will have to wait and sit down with everyone and find a way forward between myself and my club.

"I'm not saying I will accept anything, but if there's a certain plan in place because I'm still contracted to Sundowns.

"I have been home for three weeks now I haven't really thought much about football.

"About the chances of me staying with Sundowns... at this stage, I don't know boss.

"When the season starts we will have some direction I hope. We will see."
