Stuart made the comment when explaining his decision to hire Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper coach Lee as a last-minute interim replacement for Andre Arendse.
Arendse declared his unavailability for family reasons two days before Bafana started preparing for a 2019 AFCON qualifier with Libya at Moses Mabhida Stadium on September 8.
Stuart insisted nepotism wasn't in play and pointed out Lee had previously worked with Bafana and Chiefs’ number one Khune, and SuperSport United's Ronwen Williams at club level.
Robinson, though, didn't take kindly to some of Stuart's remarks.
“But for him to make that statement was a little bit sad because he doesn’t know what qualification anyone has. He’s just assuming that none of us are qualified or maybe his son’s got an UEFA qualification, whatever it is.
“But speaking for myself, I’m one of the most qualified goalkeepers in the country, never mind goalkeeper coaching, you know what I’m saying?
“But I’m not saying I want to be a Bafana goalkeeping coach, don’t get me wrong. He must take who he is comfortable with and coach with. But he can’t make that statement without having his facts, and that is the disappointing thing.
“What is also disappointing is the association [SAFA], they’re the ones who educate us, they should have stood up for some of us.
“They should also say, ‘No Stuart, you are actually wrong. You are wrong in what you saying because this one, this one, this one, has got the highest qualification in the country’.
“It’s not only about qualifications, it’s experience. I’ve been with every national team, including Bafana from 2009 right up until I joined Sundowns basically.
“So the statement he made was just disappointing,” concludes the former Bidvest Wits and SuperSport keeper.
