New Mamelodi Sundowns signing Bathusi Aubaas will be looking to bring his best performances to his new club just as he brings his splendid sense of drip and his fine sneaker catalogue.
If the versatile central midfielder is not donning the iconic yellow jersey, you can be sure he's rocking the best drip with the best sneakers to match.
From Jil Sander to classic Converse shoes, Aubaas seems to want to stand out from the crowd, picking to wear shoes that are not particularly easy to find and not worn by most people.

In every Instagram post that he's not wearing football boots, he's wearing sneakers that would catch the attention, or curiosity of any sneaker-head. However, what sets him apart is that he doesn't seem to buy shoes with hefty price tags. Sometimes though, the price doesn't determine the value of an item.
Aubaas can be seen rocking the smart 'Olana' sneakers by Jil Sander. The cotton lace-up shoe with vulcanised rubber can cost over R10 000 if you're not lucky enough to stumble upon a sale.
At over R1000, this New Balance Fresh Foam 850 Trail 'Neo Flame Black' doesn't only look like a good urban boot, but also represents versality as an all-season sports shoe, with a rubber sole for comfortability.
In the above post, the new Masandawa signing is wearing the black Puma RS-X3 Puzzle that retails at over R2000, showing that it's not necessarily about the glitz and the glamour when picking out a good pair of sneakers. One would expect a footballer to pay bizarre amounts of money for sneakers, but Aubaas seems to contradict this standard expectation.

The lifestyle sneaker has an inner sole with soft cushioning, making it a comfortable shoe to wear on a daily basis. It's likely a very comfortable shoe to slip in to after a rough training session in football boots.
The shoes in this image captures the attention straight away. One of Aubaas' followers pointed his sneakers out. The converse Chuck 70 is a throwback to Converse's iconic 1970s era. Much like the shoe, Aubaas will be hoping that his era at Mamelodi Sundowns also turns out be iconic.
