Man City drop a kit inspired by rain!

The 2025/26 campaign is shaping up to be one of the most impressive seasons yet for third-kit designs — and Manchester City have now joined the trend with the launch of their striking new alternative strip. Here’s a look!

The story

Global sports brand PUMA and City have unveiled the club’s third kit for the 2025/26 season, paying tribute to Manchester’s famously rainy climate.

Designed for fans who support City “rain or shine,” the kit celebrates the city’s culture, spirit, and electrifying style of football.

The jersey and shorts feature an all-over raindrop pattern with neon green accents on the neck, shoulders, and sides, representing the team’s standout quality.

A green-to-blue gradient flows through the centralised PUMA logo, club crest, and socks, reflecting water’s iridescence. The transparent crest finish mimics raindrops on glass, symbolising the club’s home.

Manchester City’s Serena Gosling said the design draws from the city, club history, and cultural influences, adding excitement ahead of the Premier League and Women’s Super League seasons. PUMA’s Marco Mueller noted the kit’s connection to the city’s passion and loyalty, embracing the rainy weather and fans’ unwavering support.

Available in Authentic and Replica versions, both feature PUMA’s dryCELL technology. The Replica is made through the RE:FIBRE initiative, using at least 95% recycled textile waste.

The kit launches on 14 August via PUMA.com, PUMA stores, and selected South African retailers. Prices: Authentic R2 299; Replica R1 399; Junior R1 199.
