Ernst Middendorp has left his role as the sporting director and head coach of German side SV Meppen after barren run of form.
The ex-Kaizer Chiefs boss failed in his quest to keep the side in 3.Liga last season and now leaves them in 10th place in the fourth tier, the Nord Regionalliga.
It's not clear where the 64-year-old will take his experience to next, with a return to South Africa seen as a possibility. His last gig in the DStv Premiership saw him only last three months at Moroka Swallows.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Middendorp quits German job... Yet another SA return pending?" story:
"One coach who's never contributed to SA football, yet he always has a job idling for him," says Minwana Phezulu.
"It's better if he stays there. He doesn't make any difference in our league," says Bra Zee.
"Resident Chiefs coach is around, Bobby has got the second option if Ntseki fails to deliver," says ngwanamoshate.70.
"Bobby is smiling," says mashifanae.
"Hayi hayi hayi, let him go. Why can't he stay at home, I blame the family of Naturena for this," says Zam d king buccaneer.
"He is a lucky coach, who resigns and get hired. Let us wait and see his next team in the PSL," says mathemusa77.
"Ntseki must be careful," replies 999@MKM.
Read: Nhlapo: Rayners a better replacement for Caleb
Kaizer Chiefs legend legend Zebulon Nhlapo feels the club should have replaced Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana with Stellebosch FC star Iqraam Rayners.
The Glamour Boys confirmed Bimenyimana's exit this week and followed it up by announcing the signing Colombian striker Efmamjjasond Gonzalez Palacios.
Nhlapo also imaged a partnership of Rayners and Ashley Du Preez up front and compared the Stellies star to Sundowns' Peter Shalulile.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Nhlapo: Rayners a better replacement for Caleb" story:
"Nailed it!" says khosilannete0.
"I couldn't agree more with you, our great legend!!" says user827808.
"Rayners failed at SuperSport Mr. Nhlapo. There's no chance of him succeeding, especially with the pressure there," says The godfather.
"He is more experienced now and maybe he could have been a solution," replies Zohlah.
"You know very well that the Chiefs jersey is not easy to put on and some players are only good for small teams and this guy was not able to excel at SuperSport and I still believe he would not make it at Chiefs.
"That's why I think whoever has told Chiefs to start looking for players in South America has observed that SA players cannot bear the jersey of Chiefs and are scared, so get someone who doesn't have a psychological block like any of Mzansi's players do," says userThautha.
"The mixture of South American players and South African players is going to work wonders for Chiefs. South American players are hardworking and determined and more skilled," says sizweking.
