Mamelodi Sundowns received a warm welcome from music icon DJ Khaled upon their arrival in the United States for their Club World Cup campaign. Here's a look!
The Story
Known for his ongoing support of the club, DJ Khaled appeared in a video shared by Roc Nation Sports, holding a Sundowns jersey and saying, “Welcome to America, let’s go!”
By now, it’s no secret that DJ Khaled is an avid supporter of Masandawana, having previously wished them well on several occasions.

He also features on digital billboards in Gauteng, sending the team his best wishes.
Sundowns are currently based in Bradenton, Florida, as they prepare for their opening match against Ulsan FC, followed by fixtures against Borussia Dortmund and Fluminense.
The South African giants are ready to take on the world — a sentiment confirmed by chairman Tlhopie Motsepe in a recent interview with ESPN.
He said:
“For us, it's very simple. Our club motto is: 'The sky is the limit.' We don't have an animal or a football on our crest -- we have a hand that's pointed up at the sky, because we believe the sky is the limit.
“As an African club founded in the townships of South Africa during apartheid, we want to inspire people and let them know there shouldn't be a limit on what you want to achieve, and you should never let where you come from determine where you are going and what you can achieve.”
