Banyana Banyana legend Janine van Wyk has revealed a stunning new luxury watch she recently received as a gift.
The story
In a video posted on her official Instagram account, the former national team captain showed off a fancy new Tag Heuer watch that was gifted to her by The Watch Channel, a company that specialises in selling a range of pre-owned luxury timepieces in South Africa.
The watch looks to be the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Quartz, which is worth around R34 000 for a brand new one, according to the Swiss manufacturer's official website. It's unclear how much the pre-owned piece would go for but the precious bling is said to also have "a unique dial design and true motor-racing spirit.
A description of the product added: "The 41mm brushed steel case is matched with a steel black PVD unidirectional turning bezel and a brushed steel bracelet. Not only is it sporty but it is also shock-resistant and water-proof."
It no surprise that the defender has collaborated with the store, as she evidently a marketable person who commands a strong presence wherever she goes. Among her most recent endorsement and PR gigs, she is featured in a 'Fearless' campaign by women-oriented insurance company 1st For Women.
On the pitch
On the football side of things, the 36-year-old rejoined her club JVW FC, after a short spell with Greece women's football club Ergotoris.
