Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Kanga Nzenza says it was the lack of self-motivation that defeated them in Saturday's Soweto derby.
Amakhosi saw their rivals Orlando Pirates beat them 2-0 at home in what was an entertaining Soweto derby.
The result saw the Pirates jump into the DStv Premiership tabletop eight.

Nzena says the Chiefs are not creating enough scoring chances for their striking duo Ranga Chivaviro and Christian Saile.
"The first half was for Pirates, and in the second half Chiefs came good but they couldn't score," Nzenza tells KickOff.
"But the problem was the goal, the goal was just not coming there.
"Their passes in the final third were bad. And also, their strikers didn't show any hunger.
"They don't have a creative player Chiefs. They lack that creative player who can be able to make that perfect final pass.
"The Soweto Derby is always tough. They mustn't rush once they are in the box as they are doing now. They must remain calm.
"Being unable to consistently win their matches is beginning to affect them.
"They don't have good motivation to play for each other. They played well though in the second half but missed goals.
"If Chiefs found that equaliser they would have gone on and won that match.
"But their struggle in front of goals brought Pirates back into the game.
"It was easy for Pirates players to motivate themselves because by not scoring Chiefs gave them a chance get back into the match."
