Nabi: What I repeat to Chiefs players

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has revealed what he is asking of his players after another game of missed chances against Cape Town City.

Chiefs were held to a goalless draw by the Citizens on Wednesday but they had a number of clear-cut opportunities they did not take, which has been the story of their season.

Amakhosi missed the chance to move closer to third position on the table, a spot that guarantees CAF Confederation Cup qualification.

"It's not dramatic but it's very bad, because it's not the first time we have a chance to go up and we lose the points. If you remember, from the start of the season the same mistakes continue," Nabi told journalists at FNB Stadium in his post-match press conference.

"You have a chance to go up, you lose this chance, you have a chance, you lose this chance. You need evaluation, what is the problem? Because today normal score is 3-0, 4-0, with the biggest respect to Cape Town City," Nabi said.

The Tunisian coach went on and asked his players to simply take responsibility in front of goal, for such a huge club as Chiefs.

"We don't score, I take responsibility. I don't want to attack my players. I need to protect my players, you win two, three games you're number three, four and if you lose two, three maybe you're number 12," the former AS FAR Rabat coach said.

"If one player misses a chance, I don't go to him 'Why you lose!', no, it's not like that. But what I say, I want a sense of responsibility. Every time I repeat in my team 'responsibility' with this club.

"If you lose it's football but it's not possible you continue to lose. It's not dramatic but it's bad that you lose the points today, I'm sorry for that honestly," the 59-year-old coach added.
