Kaizer Chiefs are facing escalated charges and fines from the PSL DC following the missile-throwing incident by a section of their supporters against Orlando Pirates in the Soweto Derby at FNB Stadium.
Following a 3-2 defeat to their arch-rivals last Saturday, a section of Amakhosi fans threw missiles onto the pitch in remonstration. Some of the club's management personnel tried to calm the situation on the ground, but the violence continued.
PSL DC Prosecutor Zola Majavu has been busy with legal cases, as he provided an update regarding three cases, where firstly, a complaint was made by an Orlando Pirates female official against an AmaZulu FC male official, Mr Smanga Mchunu for "comments of unsavory, unwelcome, discriminatory and sexually derogatory nature directed at the female official".

"The PSL DC found Mr. Mchunu guilty as charged, as well as found his employer AmaZulu FC guilty as charged," Majavu revealed, in part, in an audio statement.Mchunu was banned from football activities for three months, among other sanctions.
Richards Bay Chairman Jomo Biyela also appeared before the DC "on account of unsavory comments and unsporting behaviour directed at an official of Royal AM, being Mr Richard Makhoba".
"The PSL DC ruled that the respondent should be fined a monetary amount of R100, 000, of which R50 000 is suspended.
"Richards Bay also faced a charge of spectator misbehaviour in that their spectators threw missiles during the game in respect of which the charges emanated. They were fined an amount of R200, 000, of which R100, 000 is suspended," the experienced lawyer said.
In addition, Majavu revealed that he hopes to preside over another misconduct case of a club he did not mention, for spectator misbehaviour, which is likely Chiefs.
"As an aside, I can also confirm that there will be further developments on Friday wherein another club will be facing charges of misconduct on account of spectator misbehaviour," Majavu went on.
"Once that matter is finalised, hopefully on Friday, I will then give a full update," he added.

Amakhosi had a suspended fine of R300, 000 after they were charged for spectator misbehaviour after unruly scenes at FNB Stadium in October last year following their elimination in the Carling Knockout.
The fine will now come into effect once they appear before the DC, as it was wholly suspended for six months, on condition that they are not found guilty of a similar offence.
In addition to the potential new charges, the Glamour Boys will also have to play their next home game at a neutral venue, as part of the order which was suspended, on condition that they don't re-offend during the period of suspension, from their previous sanctions.
