Head coach Molefi Ntseki believes Kaizer Chiefs are making steady progress despite a disappointing 1-1 draw against Mamelodi Sundowns at home in the first leg semi-final of the MTN8.
Sundowns salvaged a 1-1 draw against thanks to a a late equaliser by Khuliso Mudau after Edson Castillo's header had put the home side ahead at FNB Stadium on Suturday.

Despite the results, Ntseki insists that there are signs of progress, with his side having won two of their last three matches. Amakhosi have lost just two of their seven matches across all competitions since the start of the season, winning three and drawing two.
"Winning games gives you an edge, gives you confidence, gives you courage and that's exactly what we're getting from the players," Ntseki said to the media after the clash.
"Even though we did not have a good game [against Sundowns] but the fact of the matter is that the cohesion, the tactical understanding is there and there is progression.
"We are taking every game, every training session step by step, I think with all the questions that ere asked [against Sundowns], we have them, we'll be taking them to the training and start working on it.

"So, it's not going to be a 50%, a 100% or 80% (rating), I think the good thing about it is that we are becoming better and better every game we play. We're getting better and better with every training session we have because our objectives are very clear.
"In our training sessions, we drive the objectives, in the game, we drive objectives. If they don't work out for you what makes it not work out for you and what can you improve on.
"I think the technical team and the players are very much focused in terms of getting things right and having to enjoy being on the pitch and scoring goals and not conceding goals. I think we're on the right track," he added.
Chiefs will only return to competitive action on 16 September with a DStv Premiership clash against Royal AM.
