The confirmation of Khama Billiat's exit from Kaizer Chiefs has ignited a cluster of enquiries with his next move still set to make headline news.
Chiefs confirmed over the weekend that their relationship with the attack kingpin had come to an end.

In their statement AmaKhosi outlined that Billiat had been offered a deal which he had not responded to and had been last seen at Kaizer Chiefs village on June 29.
It was further mentioned that Billiat had failed to show up for camp yet the fact at hand is that he had no longer had a contract with the club with his deal having ended on June 30.
How he was expected to be in camp without a contract remains a mystery.
Now a free agent, the 32-year-old can join a club of his choice, and this is what has led to clubs from different countries raising a hand of interest.
Locally, Royal AM have shown an ambitious bid with another two clubs making efforts to enquire.
Orlando Pirates – who were keen before Billiat went to Chiefs – have been named despite no formal contact having been made yet.
Young Africans have standing interest and have now been joined by AZAM in seeking to weigh their remote chances of landing Billiat.
What could excite Billiat is a move to the Middle East where there have also been enquiries from two clubs in the Saudi Arabia second division.
One of the two clubs is willing to engage Billiat to understand the nature of the package that he had at Chiefs.
Speculation has been that the slippery attacker is amongst the top three earners in the DStv Premiership.
The Saudi second-division club interested in Billiat is serious but have terms and conditions.

In the UAE there has also been a club mentioned.
There still remains admiration from clubs in Egypt and Morocco.
The club that is keen in Egypt is not sure about if their offer will meet Billiat's expectations while the second club has the budget and not the profile to attract the man from Mufakose, Harare.
However, what matters is that Billiat must make the call through the direct calls that have landed in his direction.
Contact has been made at this stage but none of the agents seeking to do these deals have any written agreement with the former Mamelodi Sundowns and Ajax Cape Town star man.
Further developments are expected within the next week though phone calls have been flying in the bid to do a deal for Billiat, who is not working with any established football agent at this moment.
Billiat has not given away much about his preferences having had limited engagements with third parties.

Billiat has been at Chiefs for five years after crossing over from Mamelodi Sundowns.
Through those five years at Naturena, Chiefs have not won any silverware and Billiat has taken his share of criticism considering his profile.
The former Zimbabwe international came to Chiefs on a free transfer which influenced the club's decision to hand him an improved deal from what Sundowns were offering for a new deal and what he was on in his previous package.
In his first year at Chiefs, Billiat went into double figures scoring 11 goals in all competitions starting off impressively under Giovanni Solinas before fading away after Ernst Middendorp took over midway across the season.
AmaKhosi finished in position nine.
Then into his second season, Billiat's scoring numbers dropped with injury disturbing him along the way as Chiefs surrendered the title on the last day.
Billiat had injury issues again under Gavin Hunt and then came back to be influential with Stuart Baxter in charge but was underwhelming last season under Arthur Zwane with injury at fault yet again and was without at least one goal for the season for the first time playing in South Africa.
When the initial three-year deal which had an option of a further year went up he was then offered a new two year in June 2021 which he signed.
That second contract expired on June 30.
