Umbro's Speciali boot makes a return

Remember Colombia’s Carlos Valderrama’s flair in the USA ’94 World Cup, Alan Shearer’s Golden Boot in Euro ’96, Roberto Carlos’ banana free-kick against France in 1997 or Michael Owen’s solo strike against Argentina in the 1998 World Cup? Umbro’s Speciali boot had a role to play in every one of those breath-taking moments of yesteryear.

First released in 1992 as the lightest boot on the market and lauded for its classic, minimalist design, Umbro’s original Speciali has shed new skin and will now be known as Umbro Speciali ‘Eternal’ to mark it’s return.

The Speciali Eternal stays true to its original roots in shape and form but includes some modern adjustments to suit the demands of today’s high performance, fast-paced game.

Supreme comfort and durability synonymous with the original remains a key feature with the Eternal. New additions include Umbro’s A-Frame overlay offering exceptional support and stability, a dipped Achilles heel tab to reduce foot fatigue and pressure, as well as the ‘Wishbone’ outsole for controlled support.

The Umbro Speciali Eternal is available in stores in black, white and clematis blue colourways.
