The SAMA Record of the Year is the only nominee category determined only by public votes. The Motswako lyricist will be counting on his fans to help him win the marquee SAMA award.
Furthermore, Mnatebawen is the only Hip Hop song nominated in this category leaving Chana as the official flag-bearer for the genre. Should ‘Chana Power’ work its magic on the night, it will be a double coup for the artist after he snatched the Album of the Year at last year’s SAMAs which was another first for Hip Hop.
