What is the PTP programme?
At the start of the year, The Premier Soccer League (PSL) and MultiChoice have partnered to produce an inventive programme to help players find success once their professional career ends.
The PSL Player Transition Programme focuses on current local based players aged between 28 and 35 years and aims to equip and empower them with the necessary knowledge and skills to transition into a role in sport after they have retired.
This course was set to run from January till June and the graduates have now been revealed.
Khune, Linda Mntambo, Zitha Kwinika,Innocent Maela, Trevor Mathiane,Kennedy Mweene among many others received their graduation certificate.

This is a great gesture as footballers in the local game often end up suffering financial difficulties when their career ends.
The aforementioned players also made sure they pulled out their best outfits for the graduation
Research by Xpro, a charity for former players, claims that three out of every five English Premier League players declare bankruptcy after retirement.

Some of the subjects in the course included Coach Education, Project Management, Facility Management, Business Innovation, Media Officers, Social Entrepreneurship, Merchandise Management and Event Management.
