Cristiano Ronaldo hits the big screen

Cristiano Ronaldo has chosen an apt title for his latest documentary: The world at his feet. It traces the player’s journey so far from humble beginnings in his hometown of Madeira in Portugal, to his breakthrough transfer to Manchester United, until his current period as a global superstar in the colours of Real Madrid.

Directed by Anthony Wonke, the 30-year-old allowed cameras into his inner circle including interviews with family, friends and colleagues as well as rare footage of the player during different moments in his life.

Filmed over 14 months, the documentary ends on a high with Ronaldo having just helped Los Blancos achieve ‘La Decima’ – their tenth European Cup during the 2013/14 season.
