Spurs issue update on Radiopane

Cape Town Spurs CEO Alexi Efstathiou has issued an update on injured Orlando Pirates loanee Boitumelo Radiopane.

The 21-year-old, who is on a season-long loan move to the Urban Warriors, has now made a return to first-team training.

Radiopane fractured his ankle during last season's PSL Promotion/Relegation playoffs match against Casric Stars and has been on the sidelines ever since.

"Radiopane is on his way to recovery, he is training hard, let's hope he can continue on his road to recovery," Efstathiou tells KickOff.

"He will probably be back in full fitness in January.

"He is currently just touching the ball and feeling the ball and not doing anything aggressive.

"For sure if he wasn't injured there would have been a different dimension in our team, he could have made a difference.

"The player that committed the foul was not even booked to be honest."

Efstathiou says there is a possibility of the club beefing up their squad in the next transfer window.

"We will first see what the new coaching staff thinks which areas need to be beefed up, and what possibilities are there."
