Ernst Middendorp will get going in his new job at Cape Town Spurs faced with yet another relegation fight on his hands while maintaining his strange tendencies.
Middendorp has been brave enough to take up the challenge at Spurs while they are rock bottom having failed in another relegation assignment at German club SV Meppen last season.

The veteran gaffer went down with SV Meppen to the fourth tier (Regionalliga Nord) of German football after failing to escape the drop in 3.Liga last season having joined in March after dumping Moroka Swallows where he spent less than three months in charge.
However, three games into the new season Middendorp dumped Meppen and two weeks later landed a job with Tanzanian Ligi Kuu Bara club Singida Big Stars where he lasted less than a month.
With his new job, it means the 65-year-old has not taken over a fresh job from the start of the season since his first stint at Kaizer Chiefs back in 2005.
Ahead of the start of the 2005/06 season, Middendorp was handed the coaching job at Chiefs taking over after Ted Dumitru had delivered consecutive league titles before resigning.
Middendorp won the 2006 ABSA Cup and 2006 SAA Supa 8.
Then in March 2007, he was fired and just a week later found himself back for this third stint at then German Bundesliga club Arminia Bielefeld.
Since the job at Bielefeld which came towards the end of the season, Middendorp has never taken over a new job from the start of a fresh season from the word go with new employers.
It has been a case of taking over with the season already in motion be it Changchun Yaytai in China, Rot Weiss Essen in Germany, or Anorthosis Famagusta in Cyprus.
In South Africa it has been the same through all his four stints at Maritzburg United.
It was also the same at Golden Arrows, Bloemfontein Celtic, Chippa United, Free State Stars, second stint at Chiefs, Swallows, and now at Spurs.
Spurs becomes club number eight that Middendorp has coached in South Africa.

Even at Saint George in Ethiopia, the veteran coach was brought in after the season had started just like at SV Meppen.
It has been the same with Singida which means all 19 jobs in the last 16 years have come the same way with the season already underway.
