Dikewna started the season poorly but have risen to mid-table and advanced in the Nedbank Cup (last-16) and CAF Confederation Cup (play-offs) this year, having only lost twice in their last 14 games in all competitions.
“Things are falling into place,” Mazingiza told the club's website.
“It’s something that has been planned. It’s great that results are going our way and that can only boost the confidence of our players. When the confidence is high players become their best. It’s not something that happened by luck. It has been planned throughout the season. We are grateful that we are at this stage.
“Credit must go to the coach and his entourage for making sure that we are in the position that we are in. It’s a good balance that the coach has got in the team. We have a number of youngsters that the coach is using. It augurs well for us that youngsters are gaining invaluable experience not only in the PSL but also in CAF. The coach should be commended for blooding in the youngsters into the team.”
Stars were yesterday drawn to face Ivorian outfit AS Tanda in the Confederation Cup, with Mazingiza expecting a tough battle for a place in the group stages of the continental event.
