CAF Confederation Cup match report AS Tanda vs Platinum Stars

Having overcome Vipers SC of Mozambique in the previous round, the challenge proved a touch more difficult for Dikwena this time around, conceding two goals in the first leg against their Ivorian counterparts, who sit ninth in their domestic league standings.

Isaac Nhlapo was deemed to have handled in his own box on 20 minutes, as Kevin Zougoula stepped up to slot home past Mwenya Chibwe to give the hosts the slender half-time lead.

And eight minutes from time, the hosts doubled their advantage to seal off a comfortable victory that leaves Dikwena with it all to do in the reverse fixture next weekend.

Stars XI: Chibwe, Mabule, K. Mathe, Mlilo, Nhlapo, S.Mathe, Msomi (Mabena 69'), Links, Senne, Khunou (Mere 62'), Shilongo

Unused subs: Mzimela, Tshabalala, Baloyi, Ntuli and Zulu
