Chiefs just need to win at home on Saturday to avoid further complications in a group in which they have taken just a single point from the top two teams Wydad and Horoya.
As it stands the only path that will guarantee qualification for the quarter-finals without mentioning 'if' and not looking over their shoulders is wins against Wydad at home on Saturday and Horoya away the following weekend.
"The priority is obviously to try to win the game so we will just have to do our best," says Frosler about the game at FNB on Saturday.
"We still have two games left and the last team that we play is second on the log [Horoya]. So who knows, we do well in this game [against Wydad] and go that side and do well in that game then we have qualified. For now, the focus is on the most important game, which is the next one on Saturday and we will take it as it comes," he notes.
With Chiefs having suffered a 4-0 defeat in the reverse fixture, Frosler knows what they are up against in Wydad – who were champions in 2017 and then runners-up two years ago.
"They are a well-structured team so they are difficult to play against, but we just have to stick with what our strengths are, stay composed and you never know what could then happen. We just must contain them and make the game go on for as long as possible and give ourselves a chance obviously," says Frosler.
"Like I have always said, with every competition it is one game at a time but if you look at the first game, we did get chances to score against Casablanca so if we capitalise on our chances in the first 10, 15, 20 minutes then you never know what could happen.
"They won't come out as much knowing that it is an away game for them and when we get the ball, we need to move it and when we get a chance try and put the ball in the back of the net."
