The outbreak of the coronavirus in China has already claimed close to 1 400 deaths with nearly 60 000 cases reported worldwide at the time of publication.
One male patient was reported to have been admitted to a hospital in Limpopo on suspicion of having contracted the disease but the National Institute of Communicable Diseases has since dismissed the reports.
The National Health Department has also declared South Africa safe from the outbreak at the moment.
Sundowns are set to jet off to Egypt at the end of this month for the CAF Champions League game against Al Ahly and Mosimane has allayed fears of his team being exposed to the coronavirus.
"We haven't been exposed to that situation," said Mosimane.
"Maybe you are right, we should be pro-active rather than to react. But I have to be honest with you, we haven't spoken about that because we speak casually like you and me about the dreadful disease.
"But we are not in that space. We are not really exposed to that so that we can make a public announcement on that to be honest.
"It's a serious point. You feel sorry for the players in China and the Chinese people that are in that position."
