Mamelodi Sundowns announce free access to fans for CAF Champions League clash

Sundowns are set to welcome the return of fans when they host Al Merrikh in their final CAF Champions League Group B encounter on Saturday.

Football fanatics will make a joyous return to live soccer matches when over 40 000 fans will be allowed to attend Saturday's historic clash.

Fittingly, the defending DStv Premiership champions will be the first club to host the return of fans to stadiums since 16 March 2020.

The Brazilians have confirmed to KickOff that all available tickets - touted to be up to 47 350 of the FNB Stadium's 94 700 capacity - will be made available free of cost.

Kabo Yellow are welcoming football lovers of all clubs and not just Sundowns supporters to attend the first fixture made open to the public this Saturday. While encouraging fans to show their support by wearing yellow.

Tickets will be made available at all Ticket Pro outlets, at various club branch structures, while there will be further fan activation announcements imminently.

Importantly, fans attending will be required to provide their vaccination certificate, I.D, accompanied by a match ticket.

Sundowns have excitedly proclaimed that Saturday's fixture will be a family affair immersed in a carnival atmosphere open to all football lovers as South Africa celebrates the return of fans.

Kick-off is at 15:00.
