The 20-year-old was strongly linked with a move to Ligue 1 side Marseille in recent months but after the move failed to materialise, the likes of Ahly and Zamalek have been monitoring the situation.
France Football reported this week that Muleka had been in talks with newly-promoted French top-flight outfit RC Lens over a prospective switch to Europe, but have been priced out of the deal by Mazembe.
The club's president Moise Katumbi is believed to be holding out for a fee in the region of €2.3m (R45-million) and prefers the DR Congo international move abroad, rather than to a direct rival in Africa.
However, with Ahly holding the financial muscle to meet the club's valuation, Mazembe may be forced to reconsider their stance on the promising striker who's made waves in the CAF Champions League over the past 24 months.
Muleka has scored 14 goals in 30 games in Africa's elite club competition since making his debut in the 2017/18 season.
