Ibenge confident that Al Hilal will go through

Al-Hilal coach Florent Ibenge believes his team still has a chance to qualify for the Caf Champions League knockout stages despite going against Mamelodi Sundowns in Tshwane on Saturday.

Ibenge and his charges started their campaign in the Champions League group stages on a bad footing after being beaten 1-0 by Sundowns during the match played in Pretoria.

The Sudanese team is set to host Egyptian giants Al Ahly in their next champions league match in Khartoum on Saturday.

Ibenge says Al-Hilal are still much in contention for the CAF Champions League knockout spot despite the 1-0 loss against the Brazilians in Tshwane on Saturday.

"We believe we can go through, we lost the battle, not the war," said Ibenge post-match.

"We have five games to go and I believe if you here if you are champions you cannot be heard without believing in ourselves yes, of course, I have to believe we have what it takes to get through," he added.
