Chiefs are in Guinea Conakry where they face Horoya at the Stade du 28 Septembre needing to avoid both a goalless draw and defeat to come out alive from Group C and join Wydad Casablanca into the quarterfinals.
"The plan is that if we obviously score a goal it will obviously put a huge amount of pressure on them because they will then have to score two," says Hunt whose team is up against an opponent that hasn't lost at home in the Champions League since 2014.
"So, a scoring draw obviously looks like the way to go but football doesn't work like that. We will have to see because they haven't been beaten here for a long, long time. We are positive and we have to try and score a goal because that is the most important thing," he points out.
Amakhosi have travelled without the duo of suspended Samir Nurkovic and the injured Leonardo Castro leaving Hunt without the bite that the duo would have provided in the testing conditions in the seaside city of Conakry.
"Both our strikers are not here which is a big blow from that perspective because we don't have a number nine to play now. So, we will have to make another plan with Castro and Nurkovic not around here. In these types of conditions you need a number nine to play but anyway we will make a plan. We will have to try and plan around that and try to change the team shape a little bit.
"Thank goodness it is a seven o'clock kick off. To play in the middle of the day would have been certainly…both sides would have struggled but I mean we are playing at 7 o'clock so I am sure…humidity is very high but that is okay," says Hunt.
Chiefs are tied on points with Horoya on eight points and need either a scoring draw or a straight win to reach the last eight.
