With the coronavirus pandemic halting football, questions have been raised over the continental showpiece with the likes of Raja Casablanca, Zamalek, Wydad Casablanca and Al Ahly patiently awaiting a verdict.

While the finals were fixtured for May, the suspension of the competition two months ago, the Champions League semi's are being considered for between 31 July and 2 August - while the Confederation Cup proposed for a week later.
However, if not possible by the proposed dates, the other plan is for semi-final dates between 4 and 13 September - which would result in both the Champions League and Confederation Cup final taking place between 23-27 September
With the 2020/21 season set to change from the traditional two-legged home and away final to a one-off match at a neutral venue, calls have been made for CAF to use the new format to alleviate the potential fixture congestion.
However, after the recent Zoom executive meeting, it's not been confirmed whether the Egyptian and Morocco giants will be preparing for major changes in plans.
With Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates poised for the qualification of continental football, they are likely to start their campaigns in October this year - with a route to the finals leading to a culmination in May.
However, it could be a unique situation where the time constraints could result in the last-eight and semi-finals be hosted in the same country.
