Pitso Mosimane's Al Ahly have qualified for the CAF Champions League quarter-finals after snatching a draw away to Al Merreikh.
The hosts took the lead in the 26th minute when Ramadan Agab nodded home a cross from Salaheldin Nemer.
The Sudanese giants went on to double their lead 10 minutes later, with Salif El-Din Bakhit firing past El-Shennawy from close range.
Al Merreikh had a chance to add a third goal just before the break from the penalty spot but Agab was unable to convert from 12 yards out.
The Red Devils had to wait until the 80th minute to pull a goal back after being awarded a penalty, which Badr Banoun converted to make it 2-1, before Yasser Ibrahim bagged the equaliser late on to secure a spot in the last eight.
Simba have qualified for the quarter-finals after thrashing AS Vita Club 4-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Simba got the breakthrough for the home on 32 minutes courtesy of a strike from Luis Miquissone, who netted the winner against Al Ahly.
AS Vita were back on level terms four minutes later when Zemanga Soze found the back of the net with an effort from distance.
The hosts restored their advantage on the stroke of halftime through Clatous Chama, before the third goal arrived shortly after the hour mark, with Rally Bwalya firing home after being set up by Chama.
Clatous Chama registered a second goal to go with his assist after bagging Simba's fourth goal with five minutes left on the clock to seal qualification and top spot in the group.
The final qualifying spot in Group C will be decided next week after Horoya defeated Petro de Luanda 1-0 on Saturday evening.
The Guinea giants only needed a second minute strike from Sekou Camara to secure three point in Angola and cement second spot in the group.
Horoya and Kaizer Chiefs will face off next week, with Gavin Hunt's charges needing a win or a score draw to advance to thw quarter-finals.
