Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau admits that he would be open to making a return to Europe with intense speculation regarding his future and a potential transfer to the English Premier League.
Tau starred in the latter stages of the season by inspiring his Al Ahly side to the CAF Champions League trophy and his second continental crown individually.
The Al Ahly talisman impressively registered five goals with five assists in 12 appearances in the continental competition following an underwhelming first part of the season.
The 29-year-old's impressive performances have sparked transfer speculation on a possible return to Europe and even to the Premier League under former coach Vincent Kompany at Burnley.
Another possible destination would be a return to Belgian side, Anderlecht where he featured under Kompany in his first stint as a manager.
"With my [my impressive] form and all the [transfer] talks, whenever I'm on form there'll always be talks around that [returning to Europe]," Tau said.
"When the opportunity comes, I'll always take it to go back to Europe.
"But I'm still okay at Al Ahly."
Meanwhile head coach Hugo Broos stated that an in-form Tau benefits the national team as his side hope to upset a star-studded Morocco team in Saturday's AFCON qualifier at FNB Stadium
"When I see him now in the last few months, he is a standout player, he is playing, and playing well.
"In the games I have seen him playing in the Champions League, I see that he is fresh, and in good shape, and it's important for us".
Kick-off is at 17:00.
