Bafana Bafana have moved up the latest world rankings following the recent FIFA calendar week during which the played against Liberia twice in the AFCON qualifiers.
Bafana were ranked 67th in the last FIFA world rankings released on December 22 last year.

In the period under review Hugo Broos' men drew 2-2 at home against Liberia before making amends by winning 2-1 in Monrovia to seal qualification for next year AFCON finals in Ivory Coast.
They have now moved up one place to 66 on the global rankings but remain far off from their best position (16th) achieved in August 1996.
On the continent they are in position 12 with Morocco top of that CAF list followed by Senegal, Tunisia, Alegria, Egypt, Nigeria, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Mali, and Ghana.
Bafana remain well ahead of the second-best team in the COSAFA region Zambia (86) who are the only other nation from the region in the top 100.

The AFCON finals in Ivory Coast will run from January 13 to February 11.
So far, Bafana have been joined by Morocco, Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria, Burkina Faso, and Ivory Coast as the teams that have already qualified.
World champions Argentina are back at the top of the ranks six years since they last sat at the summit.
They have dethroned Brazil (now third) with France in second with Belgium fourth and England in fifth.
The biggest movers were Central African Republic (122nd – plus 10) followed by Namibia (106th – plus 7), and Malaysia (138th – plus 7).
